[Friends_of_SSASTROS] Cosmic Coffeehouse/One Book One Club

Greetings Fellow Astronomy Enthusiasts,
Steve LaFlamme has graciously allowed us to dedicate his December Cosmic Coffeehouse meeting to the discussion of the One Book One Club title Packing for Mars by Mary Roach. If you've read the book, read part of the book, or even couldn't stomach the book, please join us for a group discussion about it this coming Thursday, December 15th at 7pm on Zoom. Even if you haven't read the book you're still welcome to sit in and listen to the opinions shared by those that have. You never know, it might inspire you to pick up a copy for yourself, or it may clinch the decision to not. Either way I think you'll find it interesting.
For those that will be participating in the discussion, I offer the following basic outline of discussion questions;   
   - Did you enjoy the book?
   - What were your takeaway's from the content of the book?
   - What were your impressions of Mary Roach's efforts to convey the challenges of manned spaceflight?
   - Do you have a recommendation for another One Book One Club title?
