OLD BUSINESS

1. Board Meeting at Noon on Saturday August 9 – name tags for members at meetings, listing of various astronomy gatherings including Barry Sawyer’s StarPort in near Plymouth, NH; talk to Alden Wells about selling old club scope online; Louis Gentile briefly discusses the fun of reading through 40 year old Sky & Tel magazines

2. Telescope program on Wed Oct 22 at Situate Country Club off Old Drift Way, Bill Luzader will make a power point presentation for dinner, Paul Grueter, Mal MacDonald (others?) will have telescopes

3. 50^th anniversary

a. Web Site has many images of slides from mid 1960s

b. History - collecting

c. President list – still some blanks in some of the years

d. Location and date – BRs restaurant in Halifax $21, church $200 rental + catering Saturday October 25

4. Plymouth Public Library program on Monday August 11, 3 families with clouds and indoor telescopes

5. Mal MacDonald is presenting a talk at Sunrise assisted living (near Plimoth Plantation on Route 3A in Plymouth) on Thursday September 25 at about 7 pm (precise time posted later)

6. Slide Scanner – can be used by club members BUT is has to used on Windows XP with a USB2 port

8. PCIS observatory still in development stage
